Are you concerned you may miss or not meet Tertiary entry requirements?

November 4, 2019

January Intensive for Catch Up College will be opening for enrolments on January 15th, for students who are one or two standards off achieving their UE or course entry criteria. Standards are limited to internal assessments, with individualised programmes worked out around each student’s record of achievement and subject availability. Enrolments are restricted to domestic students only. Please note the change in fee structure from previous years – $60 admin fee only.

The attached flyer also outlines the University of Canterbury’s Certificate in University Preparation (CUP) which is a non-NCEA pathway to university study, and the Academic writing and study skills course (which is the compulsory course of the CUP programme). If students are uncertain about studying at university, or want to gain some confidence in the tertiary setting before committing to fulltime study or tertiary fees, they can enrol in this through Hagley as a part-time course taught two days a week. There us also an option for refugee-background students to take the Academic writing course either before or alongside their degree-level study.
